Attendance & Rescheduling Policy

Effective Date: 8 August 2026

Last Updated: 25 August 2026

Regular attendance helps learners make consistent progress. This policy explains what happens when a learner or teacher cannot attend a scheduled lesson and how eligible classes may be rescheduled.

1. Class Schedule

Classes are conducted according to the schedule agreed between Nuraan Quran Institute and the learner or parent/guardian.

Learners should join classes at the agreed time.

2. Student Cancellation or Rescheduling

If a learner cannot attend a scheduled class, the learner or parent/guardian should inform Nuraan Quran Institute through WhatsApp at least 3 hours before the scheduled start time.

When sufficient notice is provided, we will aim to arrange one make-up class where reasonably possible and subject to teacher and learner availability.

A make-up class replaces the original eligible class and does not increase the learning plan's total class entitlement. A second rescheduling of the make-up class is not automatically guaranteed.

3. Late Arrival

Learners should join classes on time.

If a learner joins late, the teacher may continue the lesson for the remaining scheduled class time.

The class is not automatically extended because of learner lateness.

4. Student No-Show

If the learner does not join the scheduled lesson and no qualifying advance notice was provided, the teacher will wait for up to 15 minutes.

After this waiting period, the lesson will normally be considered used.

A class considered used because of an unnotified no-show is not automatically eligible to be carried forward or replaced.

Exceptional circumstances may be discussed directly with Nuraan Quran Institute.

5. Teacher or Institute Cancellation

If a teacher is unable to conduct a scheduled class, the teacher or Nuraan Quran Institute will aim to inform the learner or parent/guardian at least 3 hours before the scheduled class whenever reasonably possible.

In an unexpected emergency where 3 hours' advance notice is not possible, the learner or parent/guardian will be informed as soon as reasonably practicable.

The learner will not lose the affected lesson.

Nuraan Quran Institute will either:

  • arrange a suitable replacement teacher, or
  • reschedule the class

depending on availability and what is appropriate for the learner.

6. Replacement Teachers

Where the regular teacher is temporarily unavailable, Nuraan Quran Institute may offer a suitable replacement teacher so the learner can continue without unnecessary interruption.

If an appropriate replacement is not available, the lesson will be rescheduled.

7. Rescheduling Within the Billing Cycle

An eligible cancelled or postponed class should normally be rescheduled within the same monthly billing cycle when suitable teacher and learner availability exists.

An additional occurrence of a learner's regular scheduled weekday may be used as a make-up opportunity, but it does not create an additional class entitlement.

8. Carrying Eligible Classes Forward

An eligible student-cancelled class that cannot reasonably be completed in the current billing cycle may be carried into the immediately following billing cycle, subject to availability. It normally expires at the end of that following cycle if it has not been completed.

A class counted as used because of a late cancellation or unnotified no-show does not carry forward.

A class cancelled by Nuraan Quran Institute or the teacher will remain eligible for replacement until it is delivered and is not lost because a billing cycle ends.

9. Internet or Technical Problems

If technical problems prevent a class from taking place, the learner or parent/guardian should notify Nuraan Quran Institute.

We will consider the circumstances and determine whether the lesson should continue, be rescheduled, or otherwise be handled fairly.

10. Time Zones

Because Nuraan Quran Institute serves learners internationally, learners and parents/guardians should confirm the agreed class time for their local time zone.

Nuraan Quran Institute will communicate the agreed schedule, but learners are responsible for joining according to the confirmed local class time.

11. Repeated Attendance Problems

If lessons are repeatedly missed, cancelled, or rescheduled, Nuraan Quran Institute may discuss a more suitable learning schedule with the learner or parent/guardian.

12. Contact

For attendance, cancellation, or rescheduling questions, contact Nuraan Quran Institute through the official WhatsApp number or email address shown on the website.
